PS2 Mouse Port Rate Adjustment (Windows NT) Category: Home > Hardware > Mice and Keyboards
Ever noticed how your mouse cursor flickers sometimes or doesn't run as smoothly as you would like? That's because the refresh rate is set too low, modify this key to speed things up and make your mouse cursor move smoothly. Open your registry and find the key below. Create a new DWORD value, or modify the existing value, called "SampleRate" and set it to equal 60 - 200 (decimal), where a higher number means a smoother cursor. Restart Windows for the change to take effect.
